About Glyn

Glyn Lewis is a passionate children’s author who believes in the power of storytelling to shape young minds. Though he discovered his love for writing later in life, his journey has been anything but ordinary. After a rewarding career in hospitality, Glyn was inspired by a simple moment—watching children light up during storytime. That spark led him to write children’s books, each one filled with joy, imagination, and heart.

My name is Glyn Lewis from Melbourne, Australia. I was born in England, United Kingdom.
My family and I immigrated to Australia in August 1966. I was 9 years old at that time—a newfound country that we all fell in love with.

As a child, I learned Ballroom Dancing and became a junior Ballroom Champion. I related well with other children and played many sports.
My teenage years were happy, and my vocation was to work in the Hospitality Industry, which I did. I advanced to Hospitality Management.
This career path was invaluable, as it led to empathy for all people, and I learned ‘Great’ communication skills.

As a child, however, my parents never read books to myself and my siblings. After a successful career and in retirement, I visited a kindergarten as a guest.
There, a mother was sitting on a tiny tot chair reading books to her infant children. The children were delighted listening to the story and pointing to the pictures in the book.
This gave me such joy and inspiration to do something myself for children.

Because I never had this experience as a child myself, I was determined to write children’s books. I started my literary journey at 62 years of age. I am now 67 years old.
I am passionate about early learning in young children and I thought I could contribute and create early learning in a fun and positive way.
I now have twenty-nine children’s books published, of which I am proud.

My literary journey has taken a different direction as I am now writing Suspense Psychological Thrillers.
One is successfully published, titled The Bride of Fire – The Armageddon Awakens. Another novel that I am working on is currently in production.

I am now retired and a pensioner, enjoying my life immensely—still engagingly reading my books to children at a local kindergarten.
My life has been so enriched by my literary journey.

To the children of the world, I say:
Read – Learn – Prosper.
You are all genuinely loved.
